Many of its art-major students have now gone on to renowned art colleges and most prestigious majors such as CalArt’s Character Animation, ArtCenter’s Entertainment Design and Rhode Island School of Design. Some art-major students from early years have found employments in high-tech companies such as Google, Facebook and Netflix. Similarly, its non-art-major students have been accepted by nation’s top universities such as Harvard, Stanford, Princeton and MIT with the help of submission of a strong supplemental art portfolio. CAMP FACILITIES: WGDC is a 40 acre facility. Our cabins, Dining Hall, and Activity Barn, are air conditioned. Cabins have clean modern bathrooms and changing areas. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Ravens Run, New Hope’s Visual & Performing Arts Camp, brings together professional artists and students to explore the world of creativity in a supportive, inspiring and fun environment. At Ravens Run, children are encouraged to broaden their artistic horizons while developing technical skills. Campers learn to find their special creative spirit and no prior experience is necessary.

Campers will be exposed to a wide variety of artistic styles and media, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, crafts, stained glass, photography, dance, yoga, music, magic, theatre, claymation and creative writing. We strive to give each child a rich art experience that fosters flexible thinking and creative problem solving skills.

Each session culminates with a spectacular camp-wide art show and performance. Ravens Run is both serious art and serious fun! Ravens Run is proud to have an outstanding staff of art teachers and professional artists who currently work in their fields.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: At the YMCA, we do not turn anyone away due to an inability to pay. The Y is a non-profit charitable organization that strengthens the foundations of our community. Thanks to donations to the Y's Annual Campaign, we can offer financial assistance to those unable to pay the standard fees.*

Anyone is invited to apply for an income-based YMCA membership or financial assistance. Those receiving income-based memberships are also eligible to receive discounted rates for programming, including camp!

OTHER CAMP INFO: Camp Brandywine, located in Coatesville at the Brandywine YMCA provides campers who have completed kindergarten through 6th grade with a summer they'll never forget. Campers have an opportunity to make friends and participate in a variety of camp activities including arts & crafts, sports, free swim, field games, community service and weekly themed activities.

Camp Brandywine runs for 11 weeks from June 13 through August 26 and registration for camp is done by the week to allow families flexibility to select camp weeks that work for them. Camp runs from 9 AM - 4 PM each day, aftercare is included in the price of camp. Before care is available for a nominal fee. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. SUMMER CAMP JOBS:

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Teenagers In Charge is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1995 for and about teens and tweens (10-17 years old) whose mission is to help them build their self-esteem, heighten their cultural and community awareness while teaching them how to take charge of their lives. YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Teenagers In Charge is facilitated every Saturday morning excluding holidays and inclement weather. The program is for and about teens and tweens (10-17) with a youth agenda. CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:

The program generally meets from September through May however, it plans to host a number of youth activities for the entire summer for a nominal fee. CAMP FACILITIES: Our 12 cabins and the retreat house, provide lodging for up to 150 people. We also have a beautiful dining hall, game room, outdoor pool, gym, high ropes course, 500 ft. zip line, low elements, 200 ft. waterslide, boating pond, hiking and biking trails, mountain boarding, soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, arts and crafts, and archery. Rustic Camping is available. Campfires are held at 3 different amphitheater locations.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: For almost 50 years the Penn-York Camp Association (PYC) has provided a Natural Place to encounter Christ the whole year long. The vision of supporting the churches and communities of New York and Pennsylvania is accomplished through various ministries. Outreach includes summer kids camps, group retreats, challenge course, outdoor adventure and special events. PYC began with a dream and a committed core and over the years through hard work, determination and many miracles, the Lord has blessed us with an amazing facility.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
We are looking for workers who are excited to share and live the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ with youth and children.  Counselors, maintainance, kitchen, health officer, and challenge course workers are in need. Our mission is to invite all people to experience the wonder of creation and to grow in closer harmony with God, with nature, and with one another. CAMP FACILITIES: Our camp is located at Blue Mountain Resort nestled in the Pocono mountains. For residential campers we offer cabins that sleep 8-10 campers, a counselor, and a junior counselor. Bathrooms and showers are located in the adjacent building. All campers will have Blue Mountain facilities at their disposal depending on the activities of your child's choice. Blue Mountain has laser tag accommodations, a ropes course, climbing wall, a zipline course, disc golf course, and an archery range. Campers also have the choice to go horseback riding at Apollo Farms or go on a Jim Thorpe River Adventure!

CAMP FACILITIES: Summit has approx. 30 traditional wooden cabins with electric and private facilities in each cabin. Our main buildings include our newly refinished dining hall, air-conditioned recreational hall, our medical facility, and a newly built outdoor pavilion. Summit utilizes three A frame buildings for our arts programs, a wilderness treehouse with camp fire area for cookouts, newly resurfaced basketball/tennis courts, high/low ropes course with climbing wall, heated pool, private lake, nature fields with a farm area, martial arts dojo, go-kart track with 3 karts. Summit has a small amphitheatre adjacent to our lake, with a miraculous view of our beautiful setting where we enjoy swimming, canoeing, and riding our banana boats. Our camp resides on a gently rising hillside, thus providing us with the physical basis for our motto, "The Magic on the Hill."

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Summit Camp is a co-ed sleepaway camp for ages 8-19 years with issues of attention: AD/HD, HFA/Asperger’s Disorder, and/or learning differences. Using the frame of a traditional sleepaway camp, we create platforms of success where our campers can experience outcomes such as improved self-esteem, lasting friendships, and increased independence. This is accomplished through a well-orchestrated and expertly staffed backdrop to a largely traditional camp experience- guided challenges, waterfront, adventure course, and more. It is our goal and desire to take our campers from observing peer interactions to engaging in them, to learn and celebrate their own strengths and successes, and to feel a sense of belonging and shared community with those around them while they are with us.

Our Teen Travel program extends the Summit community to provide a safe yet exciting adventure to one of our many attractive national and international destination tours offering 14 day and 19 day excursions. Summit Weekenders provide a youth-group style social retreat for adolescents to have an oasis of independence, enjoyment, and success during the school year months. Regardless of the specific program, Summit provides an expertly staffed, highly structured, and truly fun experience for our youth, and has been doing so since 1969. Summit is accredited by the American Camp Association and takes pride in our long term commitment to and successes in working with special needs youth.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our Transitions to Adult Living Skills program for youth aged 15-19 provides learning and vocational opportunities for our teens. We also have vocational programs for upper camp including, big brother/big sister, waiter/waitressing, working in a specialty area or as UL assistant, photography, and more. Our SUPER TEEN program focuses on building the executive function and daily living skills OUR kids needs to succeed as independently as possible.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Summit provides weekender programs in metropolitan areas throughout the country which run from Friday evening until Sunday mid-day that provide an oasis of social involvement for our youth. NY/NJ and DC/VA weekenders meet on a monthly basis.

We have 480 campers from all over the tri-state area and Florida, and provide a well-rounded camp experience, including sports, arts and electives, waterfront , outdoor adventure, camp spirit and a true summer family. Located on Camp Kweebec’s 200+ acres in Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, Summer L.I.F.E. offers campers with special needs the opportunity to cultivate friendships within the context of traditional camp activities, such as fishing, swimming, boating, arts and crafts, sports and games, cooking and environmental education.

Transportation for the day camp is provided to and from our Malvern campus and the camp property in Schwenksville. Families also may choose to drop off and pick up their campers at Camp Kweebec daily.

Families of overnight campers are responsible for transportation to the camp property on Sundays. Families may choose to pick overnight campers up at the camp property or at our Malvern, Pennsylvania campus on Fridays.

Summer L.I.F.E. offers low camper-to-staff ratio, experienced camp staff, ongoing behavior support, structured daily programming, engaging activities and real world learning. Staff includes PA certified special education teachers, a full-time nurse and behavioral support specialists.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Many, but not all, of our campers have been diagnosed with high-functioning autism or Asperger’s Syndrome and have difficulty connecting with their peers. They deeply desire friendships, but due to difficulties with social interactions, spend much of their time feeling socially isolated and lonely.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Since 1979, Skyhawks sports has led safe, fun and skill-focused sports camps and programs for youth between the ages of 3-12.

We offer many different different sports--and countless ways for your child to grow. The camps range from soccer to baseball to our popular mulit-sport camps where kids sample three different sports (soccer, basketball and baseball) in one camp.

Our camps and programs are offered locally throughout over 500 communities. OTHER CAMP INFO: Skyhawks Sports Camps are SAFETY FOCUSED!

At Skyhawks we go the extra mile to focus on safety, and we have a long-standing proven safety track record and processes to prove it. For example, all Skyhawks Sports camps start and end with our unique safety process called "Gate System and Parking Lot Duty." This process is where coaches come and greet both parents and campers in the parking lot when parents pull up to drop off their children.

Our staff guide the kids onto the field/court and out of harm's way by funneling them into our gate system. Eye contact is maintained from each one of our staff members until the kids make it onto the field/court where they are grouped by age. This efficient process ensures safety. Additionally, it develops a level of trust between parent, coach, and child that ultimately leads to a fun and skill-focused camp for youth.

The Y is a non-profit charitable organization that strengthens the foundations of our community. Thanks to donations to the Y's Annual Campaign, we can offer financial assistance to those unable to pay the standard fees.*

OTHER CAMP INFO: Camp UMLY, located in Berwyn at the Upper Main Line YMCA provides campers who are preschool age through 8th grade with a summer they'll never forget. Campers have an opportunity to make friends and participate in a variety of camp activities including: arts & crafts, sports, free swim, field games, environmental and nature programming, community service and weekly themed activities.

Camp UMLY runs for 13 weeks from May 31 through August 26 and registration for camp is done by the week to allow families flexibility to select camp weeks that work for them. Camp UMLY also runs specialty camps including: sports, tennis, STEM, nature, woodshop, animal care, art, dance, theater and more. Camp runs from 9 AM - 4 PM each day, aftercare is included in the price of camp. Before care is available for a nominal fee. Half day camp options are available for specific programs. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Broadway Dreams Foundation is a week-long day intensive where our students work with a faculty of Broadways finest. During the course of the week,the students will be trained in classes and have rehearsals with the staff in order to prepare for the showcase that is presented at the end of the week to family friends,and industry agents!

On the last day of the intensive,students will audition for Telsey and Co as well as other Casting Agency's. More than 3,000 students have participated in Broadway Dreams programs.

Past students have gone on to perform with Broadway, national touring and regional productions including Bring It On: The Musical (Ryann Redmond, Calli Alden), Bare (Ariana Groover), Memphis (Lindsay Roberts), The Book of Mormon (Paris Nesbitt), Shrek (Chase Todd), Evita (Katie Huff), The Addams Family (Ethan Wexler), A Chorus Line (Sidney DuPont) and Spring Awakening (Blake Daniel).

They live on platform tents in the foods, cook their own meals, create their own programming and spend 3 weeks in Israel. Campers going into 12 grade participate in our Staff-In-Training (SIT) program. The spend the summer learning the values of being a counselor, transitioning from camper to staff and then living in the bunks for the last 3 weeks of camp.
