OTHER CAMP INFO: Camp Chestnut, located in West Chester at the Oscar Lasko YMCA provides campers who are preschool age through 8th grade with a summer they'll never forget. Campers have an opportunity to make friends and participate in a variety of camp activities including: arts & crafts, sports, free swim, field games, community service and weekly themed activities.

Camp Chestnut runs for 11 weeks from June 13 through August 26 and registration for camp is done by the week to allow families flexibility to select camp weeks that work for them. Camp Chestnut also runs specialty camps including: Esports, gymnastics and ninja parkour. Camp runs from 9 AM - 4 PM each day, aftercare is included in the price of camp. OTHER CAMP INFO: Stone Mountain Adventures is a co-ed residential camp for 60 teenagers ages 12-16 located in the mountains of central Pennsylvania. We are a very active summer community and do a good job of getting campers excited about all aspects of camp from our adventure and sport activities to going roller skating to going white water rafting together as a group. As with many aspects of teenagers lives our camp is also a very social place and we work hard to model and encourage positive relationships, create community in an authentic way, stop cliques from developing, and take away many of the traditional pressures that teens feel in school. The result is that campers feel a new found freedom to explore who they truly are while at the same time feeling like they have a new �home away from home� at Stone Mountain Adventures.

CAMP FACILITIES: The Kirby Center for Creative Arts will serve as the brand-new home and performance venue for Summer At Sem -Creative Arts, in addition to existing arts buildings. Our facilities also include four dormitories, an air-conditioned dining hall, classroom buildings, open practice rooms, dance and fine art studios, athletic center with two gymnasiums, fitness rooms and swimming pool, new stadium, tennis courts and artificial turf fields, three computer labs and a 20,000 volume library.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: If you are an artist, or aspire to be, Sem is the place to spend your summer. Here you may choose from dedicated session of study in vocal performance, symphony orchestra, dance and theater, along with several visual arts courses. If you can't decide which of your passions to pursue, you will love our design-your-own program: this approach allows students to study across multiple disciplines during the same session. Imagine a schedule of dance in the morning followed by a theater or vocal performance elective course in the afternoon. The possibilities are endless!

Our specialty camps are optional programs, operating during regular camp hours, which provide even more choices for unique and exciting adventures. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Students attend classes and workshops five days each week with an emphasis on all aspects of Musical Theatre, including acting and stage management/design/technical theatre. Students receive daily technique classes in acting, voice (both group and private), and dance/musical theatre movement from the highest-quality teachers and industry professionals. The program culminates in a working showcase open to family/friends in the PNC Theatre at The Pittsburgh Playhouse.

Eileen Grace: Program Director
Eileen is an award-winning Director and Choreographer and a former Broadway performer and Rockette. She directed and staged the Radio City Christmas Spectacular touring productions for 9 years. She has served as Artistic Director of the Rockette's Summer Intensive Program and as Associate Producer for the theater company, Reagle Music Theater in Boston and as director for the annual Bradley Awards at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Eileen was in the Broadway casts of 42nd Street, Will Rogers Follies, and in the international tour of My One and Only (with Tommy Tune). Her television credits include the Grammy Awards, Tony Awards, One Life to Live, Macy's Parade, Kennedy Center Honors, Late Show with David Letterman, and Oprah.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Artistic merit scholarships are available. Each student will be considered and evaluated when their application is submitted. Scholarship amounts will range from $100 to $600. Scholarships are good towards tuition costs only. Room and board are not applicable.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Acting Conservatory-style training that offers a strong foundation in the art and craft of acting. These classes emphasize the creative process and include instruction in script analysis, improvisation, scene & monologue work, stage combat, and Shakespeare verse techniques.

Musical Theatre
Our intensive focuses primarily on acting, dance, voice lessons, interpreting music and lyrics, and audition techniques. These classes are for the serious student of Musical Theatre and emphasize technical skill development and professional preparation.

Stage Management and Design / Technical Theatre
Housed in the award-winning Pittsburgh Playhouse, these classes offer students the unique opportunity to work and study in our world-class facilities, including production & design labs; scenic & prop shops; and light & sound studios. Our students work closely with our professional Playhouse staff members in the area of Technical Theatre; Scenic, Light, Sound and Costume Design; and Stage Management.

CAMP FACILITIES: West Chester Studio for the Performing Arts [AT] Uptown is located in the new Knauer Performing Arts Center. We have two acting studios, fully equipped with a stage, props and furniture for acting scenes as well as a piano for our musical theater classes and cabaret performances. All our performances take place either in the Black Box Theater or on the Main Stage.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: West Chester Studio for the Performing Arts [AT] Uptown strives to help every performer find their voice and learn to put it out into the world. Every week 16-40 performers have the opportunity to work alongside theater professionals. Every camp creates a show which is performed on the last day of camp for family and friends. Plus, our shows never have a chorus! Which means everyone plays a nice role! Our talented staff has worked on Broadway, regional theater, TV and Film. CAMP FACILITIES: Our camp is located at Blue Mountain Resort nestled in the Pocono mountains. For residential campers we offer cabins that sleep 8-10 campers, a counselor, and a junior counselor. Bathrooms and showers are located in the adjacent building. All campers will have Blue Mountain facilities at their disposal depending on the activities of your child's choice. Blue Mountain has laser tag accommodations, a ropes course, climbing wall, a zipline course, disc golf course, and an archery range. Campers also have the choice to go horseback riding at Apollo Farms or go on a Jim Thorpe River Adventure!

CAMP FACILITIES: The program is facilitated indoors and outdoors of Rose Playground. Teenagers In Charge is youth driven and any/all program activities are planned, coordinated and facilitated by those who are actively involved in the organization.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Teenagers In Charge is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1995 for and about teens and tweens (10-17 years old) whose mission is to help them build their self-esteem, heighten their cultural and community awareness while teaching them how to take charge of their lives. The sessions are theme based and activities are centered around the themes each month.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Teenagers In Charge is facilitated every Saturday morning excluding holidays and inclement weather. The program is for and about teens and tweens (10-17) with a youth agenda. Activities include community outreach, team building, theater arts, limited sports, trips and ongoing group activities. TIC is an academic enrichment program.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: At the YMCA, we do not turn anyone away due to an inability to pay. The Y is a non-profit charitable organization that strengthens the foundations of our community. Thanks to donations to the Y's Annual Campaign, we can offer financial assistance to those unable to pay the standard fees.*

Anyone is invited to apply for an income-based YMCA membership or financial assistance. Those receiving income-based memberships are also eligible to receive discounted rates for programming, including camp!

OTHER CAMP INFO: Camp Brandywine, located in Coatesville at the Brandywine YMCA provides campers who have completed kindergarten through 6th grade with a summer they'll never forget. Campers have an opportunity to make friends and participate in a variety of camp activities including arts & crafts, sports, free swim, field games, community service and weekly themed activities.

Camp Brandywine runs for 11 weeks from June 13 through August 26 and registration for camp is done by the week to allow families flexibility to select camp weeks that work for them. Camp runs from 9 AM - 4 PM each day, aftercare is included in the price of camp. Before care is available for a nominal fee. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. Our mission is to invite all people to experience the wonder of creation and to grow in closer harmony with God, with nature, and with one another. We aim to do so through offering programs for all ages to participate in fun learning experiences in a variety of formats and by providing space where individuals and groups can connect in a greater way.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Camp Harmony offers a Leaders-in-Training program for youth ages 16 & older who have completed at least 10th grade. George School is the solar-powered Alternative Energy Center. It’s a Philadelphia meetinghouse from 1812 conserved and moved to our campus. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Since 1979, Skyhawks sports has led safe, fun and skill-focused sports camps and programs for youth between the ages of 3-12.

We offer many different different sports--and countless ways for your child to grow. The camps range from soccer to baseball to our popular mulit-sport camps where kids sample three different sports (soccer, basketball and baseball) in one camp.

Our camps and programs are offered locally throughout over 500 communities. The format includes traditional week-long summer day camps and year-round after-school programs that range from 45 minutes to 6 hours in duration, per day. At Skyhawks we go the extra mile to focus on safety, and we have a long-standing proven safety track record and processes to prove it. For example, all Skyhawks Sports camps start and end with our unique safety process called "Gate System and Parking Lot Duty." This process is where coaches come and greet both parents and campers in the parking lot when parents pull up to drop off their children.

Our staff guide the kids onto the field/court and out of harm's way by funneling them into our gate system. Eye contact is maintained from each one of our staff members until the kids make it onto the field/court where they are grouped by age. This efficient process ensures safety. Additionally, it develops a level of trust between parent, coach, and child that ultimately leads to a fun and skill-focused camp for youth.
