CAMP FACILITIES: George School is oaks and hemlocks, dogwoods and redbuds. It’s cleome blossoms in the bushes and clover in the grass. It’s running paths through the woods and Frisbee on the lawns. It’s red brick buildings, old wooden desks, wireless internet.

George School is the solar-powered Alternative Energy Center. It’s a Philadelphia meetinghouse from 1812 conserved and moved to our campus. The Y is a non-profit charitable organization that strengthens the foundations of our community. OTHER CAMP INFO: Camp Chestnut, located in West Chester at the Oscar Lasko YMCA provides campers who are preschool age through 8th grade with a summer they'll never forget. Campers have an opportunity to make friends and participate in a variety of camp activities including: arts & crafts, sports, free swim, field games, community service and weekly themed activities.

Camp Chestnut runs for 11 weeks from June 13 through August 26 and registration for camp is done by the week to allow families flexibility to select camp weeks that work for them. Camp Chestnut also runs specialty camps including: Esports, gymnastics and ninja parkour. Camp runs from 9 AM - 4 PM each day, aftercare is included in the price of camp. At Skyhawks we go the extra mile to focus on safety, and we have a long-standing proven safety track record and processes to prove it. CAMP FACILITIES: The program is facilitated indoors and outdoors of Rose Playground. Teenagers In Charge is youth driven and any/all program activities are planned, coordinated and facilitated by those who are actively involved in the organization.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Teenagers In Charge is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1995 for and about teens and tweens (10-17 years old) whose mission is to help them build their self-esteem, heighten their cultural and community awareness while teaching them how to take charge of their lives. CAMP FACILITIES: We have a modern dorm and two modern longhouse facilities, as well as two more rustic dorms. We have a large Dining Hall facility, and a brand new Children's Ministry Building (fit for indoor sports and recreation, as well as meeting places). Additionally, the camp has 200 privately owned cottages, three large RV lots, a large soccer field and baseball field, disc golf and mini golf courses, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and a gaga ball pit. There are two tabernacles, the Main Tabernacle and Youth Tabernacle, for services. The Susquehanna River serves as a great place for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and tubing.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Mahaffey Camp offers a variety of programs, from summer youth camps and family camp to year-long retreats and events. Our staff is a dedicated group of people who are passionate about serving campers of all ages and leading them to a vibrant experience with God. Our mission is "to reach others with the Gospel and teach them about the Lord." Mahaffey Camp aims to be "A Christian Center for Spiritual Growth." Mahaffey Camp is a member of the Christian Camp and Conference Association.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Mahaffey Family Camp takes place during the last full week of July every year; in 2018, the dates are July 20 through 29. Events and services are offered for all age groups throughout the 10 days. Special events include a 5k race, Motorcycle Rally, Missionary Rally, Women's Day, Children's Penny Parade, Baptismal Service, and Gospel Concert. The camp store and Dining Hall are open for meals every day, and the craft store (selling merchandise and handmade crafts to benefit camp) is open daily. Dorm Accommodations are available, as well as RV and tent sites. Different types of services are offered, including Adult morning and evening services, prayer and healing services, Teen morning and evening services, Children's ministries, and Fresh Breeze afternoon service.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Youth Camps are held in the summer, while many retreats are held throughout the rest of the year. Mahaffey offers a variety of different retreats and events, including Applefest, Quilt Retreats, Scrapbook Retreats, Men's Link, Prayer Retreat, Mother / Daughter Retreat, REPLENISH (youth winter retreat), and private horsemanship lessons. CAMP FACILITIES: The Pittsburgh Indoor Sports Arena (PISA) is a 98,000 sq ft indoor sports and entertainment arena that houses 3 fields of Revolution Field Turf. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Camp Lindenmere’s Leadership Training Program is carefully designed to teach participants both life and camp related skills. The LT’s will participate in all of the traditional Lindenmere camp activities, and will often experience many of these activities in a leadership role.

The program is fun, dynamic and creative while offering the LT’s more freedom and responsibility than other campers. The LT’s have the opportunity to participate in regular camp activities as well as experiential learning activities designed to teach life skills.

As the oldest campers, the LT’s are considered the foundation of the Lindenmere experience. Each participant is considered a valuable part of our community and is eligible to become our future staff and leaders.

OTHER CAMP INFO: How many people in each bunk?
Each bunk houses 8-12 campers with two to three counselors. The cabins are equipped with modern conveniences such as full bath facilities, including hot and cold running water, ample electrical outlets and storage space for clothing.

When do the campers pick their activities?
Majors are chosen before campers arrive at camp. The three minors are chosen at breakfast each morning and may vary from day to day.

Do campers ever get turned away from an activity they choose?
Never. A full time program director spends the day working with each child's schedule.

How many people in each activity?
Sometimes a child chooses a private lesson which is one-on-one with an instructor. Most activities have between eight to twelve children.

How does the laundry work?
Every camper's laundry is done with an outside service and is collected on Friday and returned to the campers on Sunday. The laundry for each cabin is kept together and the children sort their laundry with the aid of their counselors upon its return.

Do you have a doctor in camp?
We have a doctor and three registered nurses during each session. Our infirmary is staffed twenty four hours per day.

Are campers put into bunks by age or grade?
Campers are usually grouped in cabins by grade. Sometimes parents will request a placement by age. If your child wants to bunk with friends, we almost always are able to work it out.
Any out of camp trips?

Children leave camp to compete in intercamp games or special events such as a day trip to Camelbeach, Dorney Park, whitewater rafting, ice skating, bowling, minor league baseball games.

Do campers need extra money?
Canteen is provided free of charge each day. A small amount of spending money is recommended for other incidentals.

Where do campers come from?
All over. We have large groups of children from the New York metropolitan area, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, Florida, and California, but don't be surprised if you have a bunk mate from London, Paris, Madrid or Singapore.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our camp is located at Blue Mountain Resort nestled in the Pocono mountains. For residential campers we offer cabins that sleep 8-10 campers, a counselor, and a junior counselor. Bathrooms and showers are located in the adjacent building. All campers will have Blue Mountain facilities at their disposal depending on the activities of your child's choice. Blue Mountain has laser tag accommodations, a ropes course, climbing wall, a zipline course, disc golf course, and an archery range. Campers also have the choice to go horseback riding at Apollo Farms or go on a Jim Thorpe River Adventure!

Blue Mountain Adventure Camp is a Member of the American Camp Association (ACA). CAMP FACILITIES: Our cabins are nestled in the woods, on a lake, and each one has a bathroom with two sinks, two toilets, and two showers. Our dining hall is large enough to seat the entire camp, so we are able to eat all of our meals as one big family. We have a heated outdoor pool, two baseball fields, two large multi-purpose fields (soccer, football, lacrosse), 6 tennis courts, an outdoor and an indoor basketball court, a fencing room, a fitness center, an indoor floor hockey/soccer rink, a multi-room arts & crafts center, more than 10 high ropes and climbing elements, a beautiful covered theater that overlooks the lake, plenty of forest for hiking, biking, and camping, and much more.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our camp environment is designed to promote success, self-confidence and self-esteem for every single camper. We limit our enrollment to ensure that every camper is known - by name, by interests and by who they are as individuals. All of our programs combine skill development, challenges and fun, stressing participation and sportsmanship over winning while encouraging campers to get into the spirit of healthy competition.

We pride ourselves on hiring fantastic, talented staff. Our friendly counselors get the kind of training that helps them give their very best to your child. Many of our counselors are former campers who can't wait to share the Lake Owego experience from a first-hand perspective. We also personally recruit counselors from colleges and universities throughout the United States as well as some from Scotland, England and other countries.

Lake Owego Camp is owned by the Black family, who has been operating youth summer camps longer than almost anyone else. In 1931, Hughie and Selma Black founded Pine Forest Camp, which grew over the years to become a nationally recognized co-ed camp. Building on that success, Lake Owego for boys was opened in 1961, and our sister camp for girls, Camp Timber Tops, was opened in 1963.

Today, the third-generation and 4th generation leadership of Mickey and Barbara Black, and their children, Lee and Anna, carry on the family legacy, earning awards such as "Family Business of the Year" and serving as active leaders in the American Camping Association of America.

Directors John and Rachel Waszczak, Kyle Silver, Jeff Freedman and Shelly Silver have over 90 years of combined camp experience, and they work together a fantastic camp experience for each and every Lake Owego camper.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Campers going into 11th grade take part in our Counselor Assistant program, which includes opportunities to assist in teaching activities, assist in younger bunks, go on college tours to NY, MD, PA, MA, and a 2 week trip to Costa Rica. The Costa Rica trip is included in the camp tuition, and the campers will get to explorer and see the sites, go on a canopy zip-line tour, and hike around a volcano, as well as train for and put on a 1 week camp for underserved local children. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity!

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): If you're interested in camp for next year, try one of our Explorer Weekends! We offer overnight opportunities during the summer so that interested campers can spend the night in the bunk and experience camp before going away.

We also offer 4-10 day specialty camps during the summer; TOP Basketball, TOP Adventure, TOP Cooks, and TOP Riding (English style Horseback Riding).

OTHER CAMP INFO: Camp Chippewa, located in West Grove at the Jennersville YMCA provides campers from preschool age through 6th grade with a summer they'll never forget. Campers have an opportunity to make friends and participate in a variety of camp activities including: arts & crafts, sports, free swim, field games, community service and weekly themed activities.

Camp Chippewa runs for 14 weeks from May 30 through September 2 and registration for camp is done by the week to allow families flexibility to select camp weeks that work for them. Camp Chippewa also offers a variety of specialty camps including: aquatics, dance, theatre and junior lifeguarding. Camp runs from 9 AM - 4 PM each day, aftercare is included in the price of camp. Our Explorer’s Camp goes a little crazy on Wednesday afternoons! Each week offers something different and amazing to our campers – they may compete in a scavenger hunt one week and attend a magic show the next.

TURBO TUESDAY AND THURSDAY 4th – 8th grade
HCA’s Adventurers’ Camp kicks into high gear on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons! Each week a special project will expose our campers to a new skill and expand their horizons. One week they might be cooking for the homeless, the next week they might be learning Carpentry 101! No matter what, our goal is to make sure that they have fun.

NURSERY 2 and 3 PROGRAM:
HCA’s Nursery 2 and Nursery 3 staff enjoys working with young children and the plans for HCA’s Summer Nursery Camp 2014 program include crafts, swimming, art, songs, stories, play, gym, science, cooking, and much more.

In addition, the Charles Gray Auditorium offers the Academy a theater in which to showcase the accomplishments and achievements of its student body.

By providing the finest dance, voice and acting training in a positive, fun-filled class setting, the CLO Academy encourages both an appreciation for musical theater and a well-rounded education.

CLO Academy’s enriched, diverse curriculum is taught by university instructors and experienced professionals in the industry.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: The CLO Academy boasts a 100% post-secondary education placement record. Alumni have attended prestigious universities including Boston College, Carnegie Mellon University, The Julliard School, New York University, Point Park University and the University of Michigan. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Broadway Dreams Foundation is a week-long day intensive where our students work with a faculty of Broadways finest. During the course of the week,the students will be trained in classes and have rehearsals with the staff in order to prepare for the showcase that is presented at the end of the week to family friends,and industry agents!

On the last day of the intensive,students will audition for Telsey and Co as well as other Casting Agency's. More than 3,000 students have participated in Broadway Dreams programs.

Past students have gone on to perform with Broadway, national touring and regional productions including Bring It On: The Musical (Ryann Redmond, Calli Alden), Bare (Ariana Groover), Memphis (Lindsay Roberts), The Book of Mormon (Paris Nesbitt), Shrek (Chase Todd), Evita (Katie Huff), The Addams Family (Ethan Wexler), A Chorus Line (Sidney DuPont) and Spring Awakening (Blake Daniel).
