BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Each year ASAP!’s celebrated Summer Arts Camp engages children in the arts and nature through the lens of a common theme. This summer, we will focus on exploring the idea of presence, allowing each student to shine in their individuality. Artists and educators in visual arts, dance, drama, music, creative writing, circus arts, yoga, pottery, and engineering will expand campers’ creativity through their fun and unique point of view, helping students to discover something new about themselves and the world around them.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Fine Arts/Crafts, Dance, Theater, Musical Theater, Music/Band, Science, Technology, Team Sports, Adventure, and more. Yoga, Circus Arts, Hula Hooping
CAMP LOCATION: ASAP! Summer Camp is located 50 miles from Hartford and 45 miles from Fairfield. The Camp is at Washington Montessori School a beautiful, wooded 48-acre campus. Please visit our website for camp photos and video.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Children ages 4.5-13 have the opportunity to play, make friends, create, and connect with nature. Campers ages 10-13 have a taste of all the classes and get a chance to delve deeper into their choice of a concentration in movement, theatre, circus, visual arts, or music!
Ages 14-17 develop leadership skills through art, imagination, and collaboration. Participants attend inspiring and challenging classes in visual arts, printmaking, ceramics, theatre, movement, hand drumming, videography, music and so much more, including shadowing an ASAP! Teaching Artist of choice to learn teaching methods and artistic process. This is a chance to explore creative passions, meet new people and form meaningful friendships and mentorships.

ASAP! employees teaching artists with varied experiences and backgrounds to help create outstanding and highly respected programming for our Summer Camp participants.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Financial Aid is available.
