CAMP PROGRAM INFO: With thoughtful and exciting themes based around a daily core schedule, your child's imagination is at the helm. We think the best way for kids to learn is through experience, and everyone does this in their own way. That's why every day at Doodles is different!

At Camp Doodles, we keep the daily flow consistent but the content is ever-changing. A balance of small group, large group, and individual play activities keeps the environment dynamic without being over stimulating - which is especially important for our younger campers. Camp Doodles is a professional member of the summer camp community. We have won local awards, and are Nationally Accredited by the American Camp Association.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We offer our Counselor-in-Leadership (CILT) & Junior Counselor (JC) programs where 7th - 10th graders are given the opportunity to build a variety of leadership skills while working directly with a mentor counselor. CILTs and JCs set and work towards goals with their mentor during their 1-week session, which often include hands-on practice with:

- Learning to work with kids in a camp setting, such as redirecting behavior, engaging them in conversation and encouraging participation

- Communication with adults and peers in a professional manner

- Collaboration as a CILT/JC team, planning and executing camp programs such as skits, assemblies and activities

- Perseverance and flexibility when things don’t go as planned

CILTs are campers entering 7th - 8th grades. Junior Counselors are campers entering 9th-10th grades and take-on added responsibility appropriate to their interests and skill level. To ensure our high standards for this program, space is limited to 12 spots per camp location per week.

OTHER CAMP INFO: The Stephen J Wampler Foundation incorporated in October 2001, becoming a fully recognized tax-exempt non-profit 501(c) 3 organization in March of 2002 (Tax ID number #80-0470847). Our outdoor programs started in August of 2004 when we welcomed our first 24 campers. The organization has grown over the past 17 years, and we have sponsored 1250 children.

Camp Wamp, located near North Lake Tahoe in the High Sierras, is a place where kids with physical challenges have the week of their life in the great outdoors. The kids of Camp Wamp leave the experience having learned to face life with a new sense of self-reliance, ambition, optimism and adventure. Do I need to provide a tent or other camping equipment for the overnight farm trip? No, your camper will not need to bring their own tent. For the overnight camping trip your child will need his or her own sleeping bag, clothes and personal items.

What is Bay Leaf Kitchen's background/experience? The Bay Leaf Kitchen team have an extensive background in camping, cooking, teaching and education management. For a detailed history please check out our Who We Are or Mission & Values pages.

What kind of knives or other equipment will campers be using? Campers will be using age appropriate kitchen equipment including safe knives, stoves, ovens, and mixers with guidance and supervision of Bay Leaf Kitchen staff.

What is your cancellation policy? Our refund policy is designed to discourage last minute cancellations and to help families on the waiting list. The tuition is refundable (minus a $50.00 application fee) for requests received in writing, via e-mail, to info[AT]bayleafkitchen.org before May 15th, 2017. After May 15th, there is no refund unless the space can be filled by another camper. During camp, there is no refund for camper illness, missed days, vacations, or dismissal from the program. CAMP FACILITIES: In both NYC and LA, campuses are accessible only with a valid AMDA photo identification card, which High School Summer Conservatory students receive.

Supervision is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. When students are not in class with our world-class faculty, they are supervised by members of our trained AMDA staff.

Students leave campus only for planned and chaperoned outings, which may include going to a Broadway show or visiting NYC and LA tourist destinations.

Morning classes in your chosen performing arts focus (Acting, Vocal Music or Dance) with emphasis breakout sessions in your major.

Rehearsals for your Final Performance

Performing Arts Experience classes, selected to compliment your background, focus and interests.

Students enjoy free time after lunch and in the evenings. Many students choose to rehearse, visit AMDA’s incredible libraries, or relax in the dorms during free time.

Based in North Berkeley since 1999, our camps provide a rewarding, enriching, memorable summer experience for creative and creatively-curious children in grades 2 - 12. No experience is needed, though even young actors with well-honed skills enjoy spending their summers at our camp, often explaining ''it's the summer of a life-time.''

We offer four popular summer programs: KIDS ON STAGE, ON BROADWAY, TEENS ON STAGE and BACKSTAGE for children entering 2nd grade - just graduating 12th. All our programs include a strong conservatory focus and emphasize the integral value and importance of each child's contribution to our productions.

KIDS ON STAGE - For youth entering 2nd - 6th grade.
Each two week session of KOS produces a short play based on a popular children's book, and concludes with a final performance for friends and family. In addition to rehearsing a play, campers will sing, dance, act and learn about stage craft. Swimming, one afternoon a week.

BACKSTAGE is an exciting counselor-in-training program for teenagers. Each counselor will select a specific focus, such as choreography, stage and set design, music, costuming, stage management or direction. Counselors will be actively engaged in one or more of our productions and gain valuable vocational training in their area of focus.

Stage Door Conservatory nurtures the social, emotional and intellectual development of children using by the performing arts as a vehicle of learning. We will encourage our participants to reflect on their own lives, as well as the cultural, social, moral and spiritual themes represented in our productions, both to help them develop their understanding of theater and the contexts in which it was been created. We will help young performers to develop their capacities for empathy and respect for others, as they explore the human themes depicted in our plays.

We will encourage our young actors to co-create a community of caring with one another, and to communicate with one another with respect.

CAMP LIFE Many children regard Stage Door Conservatory a home away from home because we focus on creating a sense of community for everyone who join us. During our first week together, as in all subsequently weeks, we will focus on developing a strong sense of esprit d-corps among our campers ... encouraging the creation of new bonds between the children who are becoming newly acquainted as members of our ensemble, as well as the renewal of old bond among children who have spent prior summers together as members of our camp. Both ON BROADWAY and TEENS ON STAGE include many alumni who participate in our program year after year. AN ENSEMBLE and CONSERVATORY PHILOSOPHY

Both ON BROADWAY and TEENS ON STAGE are ensemble-based programs. During our first weeks together, we will encourage our young actors to collaborate in the creative process together and to appreciate and support one another as persons and performers. We will emphasize the unique importance of each child who is a part of our production, whether they are performing in a lead role or as a member of our ensemble. Because we are a conservatory, in addition to rehearsing and performing in a high caliber production, children participate in every aspect of our production, from costuming, to set-design, to props development.

Our theatre-based workshops focus on developing personal and societal leadership, such as how to ask for what you need. In these sessions girls practice new tools for speaking up for themselves and for others.

We also create beautiful art projects, stay active outside, and always have a spirit theme for the day. These activities are designed to encourage girls to embrace who they are, reflect on what they believe, and give them an opportunity to express themselves creatively.

At Skyhawks we go the extra mile to focus on safety, and we have a long-standing proven safety track record and processes to prove it. For example, all Skyhawks Sports camps start and end with our unique safety process called "Gate System and Parking Lot Duty." This process is where coaches come and greet both parents and campers in the parking lot when parents pull up to drop off their children.

Our staff guide the kids onto the field/court and out of harm's way by funneling them into our gate system. CAMP FACILITIES: MODERN FACILITY: Broadway Gymnastic School is a stateof-the-art gymnastics and children’s fitness facility offering all equipment used in the Olympics as well as trampolines, mini tramp, tumble trak, creative obstacle courses and the zip-line (a favorite among our campers). CAMP FACILITIES: Beautiful and recently renovated Black Box Theater. It has a stage and comfortable back stage. All of our props and backgrounds are designed and created by hand. Elevated seating that can fit up to 90 people. There is a ticket booth and a functioning restroom. Different types of lighting: black light, fluorescent, stage lighting, rope lighting, and a disco ball. A working sound board, music, and up-to-date stereo system. We utilize different media options as well.
A few buildings away is our main office, where rehearsals may sometimes be held. It has 3 spacious rehearsal rooms, each with a baby grand piano.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: A sleeping princess, a spellbound Prince and more fairies than you can shake a stick at are all part of this quirky adaptation of the popular tale. The evil Trollarina exacts her revenge on the royal family by sending the beautiful Princess Melisande into an everlasting sleep, but little does she realize more than one spell is about to be broken by the kiss of an enchanted Faun.

We do not skip out on costumes! Every participant will be outfitted in a role and age appropriate costumes for the performance. The actors and actress will also interact with carefully designed and created props.

Students will be learning stage position, projection of their voice, blocking, how to interpret a scrip, read music, sing in a group, and dancing. Since the plays we do are musicals, the actors and actresses will learn the basics of singing. It includes, reading music, matching pitch, group and possibly solo singing, tempo, and rhythms. Our choreographer will teach dance positions, dance moves, rhythm, counting, and tempo. Every lesson is created with the children's skill level and abilities in mind and we always encourage them and help them strive for their best.

CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
The camp is a four week program running Monday through Friday, 9AM to Noon, beginning June 17th and going through July 12th. The camp location is at the Studio C Theater in Livermore, at 51-C Wright Brothers Avenue. The performances will be on Saturday, July 13th and Sunday, July 14.

The regular tuition for the 4 week program is $450. Enrollments before June 1, 2013 will receive a 10% discount, reducing the tuition to $405.00, with a 25% deposit of $101.25 due at the time of registration. CAMP FACILITIES: At Natoma, we sleep under the stars on cots. We also have a swimming pool with water slide, archery and hatchet ranges, dining hall, fire ring, miles of trails, drama platform, and a perennial creek.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Natoma has been providing a week of sleeping under the stars, an experience campers will remember for a lifetime, since 1941. It is operated by Friends of Camp Natoma, a non-profit organization, and is an American Camping Association (ACA) Accredited Camp. At Natoma, campers gain self-confidence, become positive team players, expand their imagination, and develop a relationship with the natural world around them. All staff are dual background-checked, first-aid and CPR certified, and hand-picked for their positive work experience in youth development.

Established by 5 Valley YMCAs the property of Sequoia Lake is held in trust by the Sequoia Lake Conference of YMCAs to be operated exclusively by The YMCA. Designed for students age 14-18. It combines a community service project that could earn up to 80 service hours, culture activities, and traveling altogether. Food, glorious food! All meals are delicious and included. Breakfast is typically served between 7:00–8:00 am; lunch is around 12:00 pm; and dinner is usually around 6:00 pm. This is subject to change, so please keep your ears perked throughout the day for announcements to make sure you don’t miss a meal. We offer both vegan and omnivore options and healthy snacks are available throughout the day.

SPECIAL GUEST ARTIST PERFORMANCES
Every session, a different band plays a live set for the girls and then sticks around for an intimate Q&A. In our end of program survey this was a major highlight for the girls. They learned about different genres of music and had a fun time listening to the bands and getting to engage in meaningful discussions with the visiting artists.

FINAL SHOWCASE
At the end of the session, all campers show off their original work at the Final Showcase for the whole camp community!

THE FACILITY
Amplify Sleep Away Camp is very proudly in residence at Besant Hill School. Set in the mountains of Ojai, California, this amazing facility boasts one of the best views in Ventura County. Campers have private, air-conditioned residence halls, a private pool, a movie theatre for evening films, and delicious meals provided (dietary restrictions honored).

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: LIT PROGRAM: All campers in 11th or 12th grade participate in this intentional leader-in-training (LIT) program, where teens get all the fun of sleep away camp, but also all the professional experience and skill development of an advanced internship. Plus, LITs get to go on ADDITIONAL OFF-CAMPUS TRIPS designed just for them, and did we mention all the community service hours LITs can earn? (Spoiler alert: it's 40 whole hours!)

OTHER CAMP INFO: For a minimum of 1 week and up to 8 weeks, our budding young artists focus on their chosen creative track (e.g., photography, rock band), then they also choose from over 50 weekly electives, like ever-popular DJing, skateboarding, screen printing, zine making, tie-dye, friendship bracelets, writing love letters to your future self, and many more.

Every week we also venture out on incredible day trips, like our local beaches for surfing or camp outs, and more! We also hold super fun camp-wide community events, like Friday night dance parties, pool parties, and of course our big end-of-camp showcase!

For girls staying multiple sessions we offer free adventure trips to Catalina Island and the Kern River, where we'll kayak, zip line, whitewater rafting, and more!

Our summer workshops are three weeks long and are available to teens ages 13-17 or adults over 18 years of age who want to gain real world experience by creating original digital content. All of our summer programs are built around the idea that storytelling is fun and collaborative. Our goal is to help you unleash your imagination by fostering creative innovations between our students, industry mentors and faculty.

Students form multidisciplinary teams that work together under industry mentorship to create cool, compelling and unexpected SHORT-FORM CONTENT. All students participate in our master class series on Wednesdays and Collaboration Labs on Fridays. Integrated teamwork, positive energy, a safe creative environment, state-of-the-art equipment and talent are some of our ingredients for success.
