CAMP FACILITIES: Modern practice fields and facilites with top-notch training and safety equipment.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Since 1979, Skyhawks sports has led safe, fun and skill-focused sports camps and programs for youth between the ages of 3-12.
We offer many different different sports--and countless ways for your child to grow. The camps range from soccer to baseball to our popular mulit-sport camps where kids sample three different sports (soccer, basketball and baseball) in one camp.
Our camps and programs are offered locally throughout over 500 communities. The format includes traditional week-long summer day camps and year-round after-school programs that range from 45 minutes to 6 hours in duration, per day. Our progression of camps and programs, led by our expert staff, are generated toward youth looking for a sport introduction or those who want to refine and master their sport-specific skills.
For Detailed Information on ALL of our summer sports camps, please visit our website at Our Camp Website Link: www.skyhawks.com.
Our coaches and site directors make a significant difference to your child's on-field experience. Chosen for their strong personal character, responsibility, and capacity to effectively communicate sports skills to youth, our staff will make the extra effort every time to ensure that your children have the best on-field/court experience, emphasize teamwork, and learn life skills through sports. Our staff are required to complete our extensive certification process.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: We offer financial aid for those families that qualify. Please call 1.800.804.3509 for an application.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We offer year round programs in select states, please see our website for complete information on all Skyhawks Sport Camps in your area.
OTHER CAMP INFO: Skyhawks Sports Camps are SAFETY FOCUSED!
At Skyhawks we go the extra mile to focus on safety, and we have a long-standing proven safety track record and processes to prove it. For example, all Skyhawks Sports camps start and end with our unique safety process called "Gate System and Parking Lot Duty." This process is where coaches come and greet both parents and campers in the parking lot when parents pull up to drop off their children.
Our staff guide the kids onto the field/court and out of harm's way by funneling them into our gate system. Eye contact is maintained from each one of our staff members until the kids make it onto the field/court where they are grouped by age. This efficient process ensures safety. Additionally, it develops a level of trust between parent, coach, and child that ultimately leads to a fun and skill-focused camp for youth.
CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Skyhawks Sports Camps are offered throughout the summer, and specific dates and times vary from location to location.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Swift Nature Camp is an overnight nature camp for boys and girls ages 6-15. Our focus is to blend traditional summer camp activities while increasing a child's appreciation for nature, science and the environment.
Our special Discovery Camp is a nurturing program for first-time overnight campers, offering additional staff to provide support and encouragement to overcome homesickness and build confidence. The program welcomes no more than 50 first-time campers, and the special attention that this intimate group receives is the reason that more than 92% of them wish to return.
Swift Nature Camp offers traditional summer camp activities along with an environmental focus. Campers enjoy an active Nature Center, Pet Zoo, and Department of Natural Resources sponsored programs, plus recreational activities that include canoe and backpack trips, horseback riding, swimming, arts & crafts, team courses, archery, sailing, water skiing, tubing and sports.
In addition to these traditional activities, Swift Nature Camp is so much more. We are a child-centered program located away from technology, celebrity culture and academic pressures. Through fun activities and positive staff role models, we help children develop lifelong skills such as confidence, teamwork, leadership, compassion and communication. Our small size allows us to promote each child's personal development by providing fun, friendship and leadership in a supportive and noncompetitive environment. While away from home, children will have the opportunity to act on their own, become self-reliant, and try things for themselves.
Many of our kids return year after year saying that "Swift allows me to be my real self with real people." And we feel that's a good thing!
All of this happens in the fun and sun of the north woods of Wisconsin. For staff and campers alike, Swift Nature Camp is more than just a place to be: it is their summer home. So why not have your child join our summer camp family this summer?

▌Read More about The Minnesota Debate & Advocacy Workshop
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: MDAW’s Format Encourages Skill-Building.
MDAW offers instructional workshops tailored to specific age groups. We work with area educators to provide a comprehensive curriculum that readies students at every level with evidence and skills for the next debate season.
MDAW Students Get TONS of Practice.
We offer practice debates and skill-building drills nearly every day of camp. Middle school students find friendly competition in a full length debate at the end of their weekly sessions – so students can get a feel for the tournament experience. For high school students each session offers a number of full-length debates throughout their camp stay. In addition to this, staff facilitate re-dos, provide feedback, and create concrete steps for the student to continue improvement while at camp, carrying those skills into the competitive season.
MDAW Faculty Work Hard.
We have incredibly experienced, talented folks working with students on a day-to-day basis. We make sure that students are exposed to a variety of styles while ensuring they can focus on skills and strategies they’ll use throughout the year. Our goal is to attract the best talent to our workshop so that students who attend MDAW will be prepared to have a successful season and build community.
MDAW is Budget Conscious.
Our workshop operates on a not-for-profit basis. We run MDAW out of a desire to increase local opportunities for excellent debate instruction, not to make money. Tuition and room/board expenses are pegged to cost of running the workshop and providing fair salaries for staff. Scholarships are available, so don’t hesitate to contact us even though financial constraints may be a problem. We are committed to making sure no student is prevented from attending due to challenging economic circumstances, to the extent possible.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Full and partial scholarships are available.

HIGH SCHOOL NATIONAL TOPIC POLICY DEBATE
Minnesota Debate and Advocacy Workshop (MDAW) has provided high school national topic policy debate summer camp for 17 years. MDAW is a partnership between the Minnesota Urban Debate League (a program of Augsburg University) and the University of Minnesota Debate Team. What sets the MDAW apart from other policy debate camps? Community. MDAW believes strongly in the importance of developing positive relationships between staff and students – along with growing our own leadership. The vast majority of our staff were participants themselves in MDAW.
The other core principle of the MDAW experience is that debate is learned by doing. Students will have a practice debate almost every day at camp. MDAW is where we learn new arguments, research new topics, and try-on new ideas. Camp experience also includes a camp tournament and awards ceremony.

Our activities promote interaction with nature, so Cherith campers spend a lot of time outdoors surrounded by the splendor of God's creation. Beautiful Lake Six provides a clean and safe environment for our waterfront activities, and Schram's Lake offers a majestic backdrop for morning devotions, outdoor chapel services, canoeing, and hanging out with friends. Our horsemanship program makes use of miles of wooded trails and our many scenic campfire sites make outdoor cookouts one of the week's highlights.

CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Cherith has a variety of cabins including both stand-alone and dormitory types. In addition, we have a recreation/dining hall, outdoor basketball courts, beautiful chapel area, many wooded paths, and a pristine lake for swimming.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Cherith's Christ-centered community creates an environment where many life-long friendships have gotten their start. Campers learn about God in an interdenominational setting through daily Bible exploration, dynamic campfire messages, and cabin devotions. And everyone participates in Morning Watch, a quiet time spent alone with God reading His Word and praying. All campers experience the thrill of success through skill-building classes. Each camper chooses two activities for the week, which they participate in daily. Our goal is to help each camper either learn a new skill or improve an existing one.
Camp Cherith's multi-age format allows same-gender siblings to attend camp together. (Parents can also come to camp as valued volunteers.) Campers are placed in divisions based on grade level and are assigned to cabins within their division. They spend about half of each day with this group, but campers of different ages do interact during meal times, free time, and various camp activities. Our younger campers look up to the bigger kids and as a result bring out a kind, nurturing spirit in the older boys and girls.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Camp Cherith’s own staff development programs – CILT for girls and BUILT for boys – are two-year programs for campers who’ve completed tenth grade and want to develop leadership skills with an emphasis on spiritual growth. It is an intensive commitment, including the planning and implementation of various camp activities, reading and teaching assignments, and finally a week of actual counseling experience on site. It gives participants the tools necessary to serve as an effective staff member at any of the nation’s Camp Cherith locations.
