BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: The Magic of Shakespeare
Get ready for a two week fun and imaginative summer program where rising students learn all aspects of theater while rehearsing a 30-minute Shakespeare play!
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Theater, and more.
CAMP LOCATION: We are located on the Southern Connecticut State University Campus.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Please inquire for financial aid.
FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Final performances are at 2:00 PM on the final Friday of the camp.
OTHER CAMP INFO: Students spend two weeks immersed in an imaginative, supportive, and fun environment taking interactive classes in acting, clowning, stage combat, voice, movement, and theatrical design – all while rehearsing a 30-minute version of one of Shakespeare's plays.
Campers become their own Renaissance Theatre Troupe, creating costumes, props, and backdrops to create a kid-driven final performance for friends and family on the last day of camp.
Scholarships are available for those who qualify!
CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
July 13 - 24 - SCSU
July 27 - August 7 - Trinity Church
August 10 - 21 - SCSU
Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. (early drop-off at 8:30 and aftercare 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. available for $150)
Tuition: $550 - Online payments will incur a 2.9% processing fee of $16.25. Parents can also pay for registration via mailed check.
