BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: LakeView sits on an amazing 20 acres along side Farrington Lake in the quaint community of East Brunswick, NJ. With a strong history and many wonderful traditions, LakeView is an amazing place your children will love to call home. A co-ed day camp that offers a very more than you can imagine with daily instrumctional swim as one of the foundations.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Fine Arts/Crafts, Dance, Theater, Musical Theater, Music/Band, Science, Technology, Swimming, Tennis, Waterfront/Aquatics, Sailing, Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Baseball, Cheerleading, Soccer, Golf, Gymnastics, Martial Arts, Team Sports, Adventure, Travel, and more. Gaga, Yoga, Lacrosse, Mountain Biking, Kayaking, Bungee Trampoline, Go-Karts, Woodworking, Ceramics, Jewelry Making, & Outdoor Nature & Pioneering.
CAMP LOCATION: LakeView is a beautiful, family run camp that quietly sits on 20 acres adjoining Farrington Lake in East Brunswick NJ. Lakeview has been around for over 75 years but our first 30+ years were spent as a sleep-away camp. This means our facilities, programs and atmosphere are very unique and really haveto be seen to be fully appreciated. Our activity offering is almost endless and is always evolving with the best in specialists and equipment. Our setting is second to none in the day camp world and allows for traditional sports and swimming instruction while also offering a huge variety of art program offerings and an amazing offering in outdoor adventure instruction in the woods, on the lake, out on the trails, or up on the ropes course.
CAMP FACILITIES: Wonderful enclosed bunks for each age group. Enclosed building for the dinning hall, gymnastics, all of the art classes and an amazing theater. Individual age specific fields for junior, intermediate, and senior sports including separate hockey, soccer, basketball and softball fields. Also tennis courts, a go-kart track, bungee trampoline and amazing high and low ropes course with elements ideally built for both 2nd grade and up as well as 1st grade and below. Our lake is 5 miles long and offers endless opportunities in sailing, canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding and with a beautiful pontoon boat for our little ones to just go exploring. There is not much we do not have available and with 20 acres the only thing we can not do on camp is ride mountain bikes for miles so we do that right next door on a 300 acre preserve. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: With over 75 years of history Lakeview is rich in tradition and community. We believe in allowing your children wonderful opportunities to explore and discover their talents and creativity through our extensive and carefully crafted programs. Our college age counselors & experienced adult specialists and administrators will not only help develop your child's confidence but ensure a safe and amazing summer filled with enrichment & challenge. Because camp is supposed to be a welcomed home away from home of course bus transportation & hot lunch is provided daily. Call us to schedule a private tour we look forward to meeting you.
Be as creative as you can in cooking, ceramics and woodshop or play to your hearts content in hockey, soccer, tennis, basketball, or even gaga. Then on the different side of things test your skills in Mtn. Biking, ropes course, or kayaking on the lake. Then never stop learning with pioneering, archery, and Robotics & Mad Science. With a total camper to staff ratio of almost 3 to 1, well trained specialists, seasoned adult leadership team, and international staff to share their cultures and experiences, your children could not be in better hands. We look forward to expanding their horizons, increasing their self confidence, building their skills, and creating amazing new members of the LakeView family.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: For 10th graders we have our LakeView Leadership Program which is a combination of camp activities, travel program and daily learning opportunities surrounding the role of a counselor.
